In my last position I was responsible for managing all aspects of small company. I provided computer support and Internet Access for Lothian residents on daily basis. On many occasions I helped to recover valuable data and repair computers other computer shops considered irreparable.
In my business I use many skills including:
- Ability to work unsupervised,
- Ability to work under stress,
- Meeting and exceeding customers’ expectations.
During working as an IT Officer for Lublin City Council in Poland I designed and implemented MS Access based appointment organizer. I also supported implementation of many software packages and hardware.
Between 2002 and 2004 I was working as IT Tutor. My role was to teach unemployed how to use MS Office, Internet and Windows in modern environment. I learned how to share my computer knowledge using simple non-technical terms.
I am regarded as reliable and hard working person who communicates well on all levels.
My key IT skills are:
• MS Windows 95, 98, 2000, ME, XP,
• MS Office – MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook,
• Hardware and system repairs,
• Linux – Debian, Red Hat, Knoppix,
• TCP/IP, LAN, DHCP, DNS, ADSL, DSL, Dial-up, VOIP,
• Wireless Networking.
Due to family reasons I decided to cease trading on 15/02/2008.
I have successfully interacted with a variety of people from different backgrounds and with a variety of life experiences. I strongly believe that communication is a vital tool. I have found that it is important to create relationships based on trust and understanding. I strive to be friendly and approachable at all times and to be a good listener and to support and advise.
Being experienced in the IT support position for years, I am confident that my ability to problem-solve will make a significant contribution to the company IT Department..
